1.
Coconut Oil.
I frequently use coconut oil for its versatile health benefits. It’s fantastic for skin health, acting as an antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral agent, which makes it perfect for treating skin infections and allergies.
Coconut oil can also improve dental health and bad breath when applied to your cat’s gums.
Did you know it also offers gastrointestinal and anti-inflammatory benefits?
For cats with seizures, the MCT oil in coconut oil can be an alternative energy source for the brain, potentially reducing seizure frequency.
HAIRBALLS: It can also help with hairballs at 1/2 teaspoon/10lbs twice daily.

  1. Honey
Unpasteurized honey is excellent for wound care, (cat abscess) allergies, and as a natural cough remedy.
Its antibacterial properties are effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, making it a valuable treatment for resistant infections and a supportive treatment for UTIs.
Apply it topically twice daily to SPEED wound healing.

  2. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
ACV is a powerhouse for treating fungal (RINGWORM) and bacterial infections.
It’s particularly effective for ear and skin infections in pets.
You can use it topically or mix it with water and a sweetener like honey to help with urinary tract infections.
I have used it on cats topically with Ringworm applying a mixture of 50% ACV and 50% Green Tea twice daily for 4-6 weeks.

  3. Olive Oil
Olive oil is beneficial for skin conditions and ear mites, especially in cats.
It can also help manage hairballs and intestinal obstructions due to its lubricating properties.
For overall health, adding a small amount of olive oil to your pet’s diet can provide essential fatty acids that support skin health, immune function, and more.
For ear mites apply 5-7 drops twice daily for 7 days on, 7 days off, then another 7 days on.

  4. Sunflower Oil – Skin Care Remedy
This oil is rich in ceramides, which are essential fats that help maintain a strong skin barrier.
It’s especially useful for pets with allergies or dry, irritated skin.
To use, apply about a quarter to half teaspoon of sunflower oil to your pet’s skin, focusing on areas like the neck, shoulders, back, and tail base.
Do this once a day for 14 days, and you should notice a reduction in itching and an improvement in skin health.

  5. Parsley
Parsley isn’t just a garnish; it’s beneficial for pet health in several ways.
It can freshen breath, act as a natural diuretic, and soothe mild stomach upsets.
Its antimicrobial properties make it useful for fighting bacteria that cause bad breath and infections.
Chop it up fine, and mix it into your cat’s canned food at 1 teaspoon/10lbs twice daily.

  6. Slippery Elm
This isn’t technically a ‘kitchen remedy’, but I keep it in my kitchen! It is from the bark of the Slippery Elm tree, and very safe and effective for our cats.
Great to help ANY cat that has an upset stomach with vomiting or diarrhea.
It has been especially beneficial for cats with kidney disease as it is an natural antacid helping them be less nauseaus.
It even HELPS with Feline Urinary Tract Disease, as well as chronic cough (think cat asthma).
Cat dose is one 400mg capsule daily- I open the capsule and mix it in their food
