Inspiration for this product:
Play is far more powerful for children than many parents realize. It is actually the key to learning. Researchers and educators across the world have found that play can help enrich learning and develop key skills such as inquiry, expression, experimentation and teamwork. We need to consider that young children learn in quite different ways than adults. They learn by comparing physical experiences, by interactions with other people and indeed through their own feelings. They also learn an enormous amount through their imagination. Play is what pulls together the logical and creative parts of the brain – and this balance of of supreme importance.
Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensor
We as humans are multi-sensory beings and as such, we learn through all our senses. Engaging as many senses as possible during the integration, absorption and retention of knowledge is imperative to learning. The younger our children start this sort of activity they more enriched they will be.
Learning should be playful, fun and engage one’s self as much as possible.
By engaging as many senses as possible children are brought into the ‘here and now’, creating attention, focus and concentration, allowing them to be present within themselves. We know others by knowing ourselves first. The intake, processing and retention of information is greater when more than one sense is used during learning.
Creativity is integral to learning and growth, and as technology takes over our lives, we are losing more and more of our creativity and self-expression
The results of testing these boxes on a number of children has been wonderful and proves the rich learning experience for our young ones
