Binders are incredibly beneficial for detox and work by:

● Clearing out toxin buildup
● Inducing biofilm removal in the gut

● Preventing acute poisoning

When your body is working correctly, the intestines, gallbladder, and liver all work together to break down and eliminate toxins.
Unfortunately, many people have compromised detoxification pathways, meaning, their bodies are unable to effectively process and excrete toxins.

Without the use of binders, the body may be prone to “enterohepatic recirculation.”
This happens when toxins are not “bound” for excretion through the bowels and instead go through continuous cycles of processing by the liver, reabsorption by the intestines and then recirculation by the liver.

Choose at least two binders that fit your situation.
Then be sure to always use binders; daytime and night-time, throughout this protocol to help your body release toxins and escort them from your body, avoiding any bad Herxheimer* reactions.
You can rotate those you use as you feel the need, or just stick with what is working for you.

Diatomaceous Earth

1 Teaspoon in 8 oz. (1 cup) of pure water. 
This should be taken about two hours before or after food, supplements or medications.
D/E is truly an amazing and versatile natural binder, that’s great for day-time, any-time usage!
This naturally occurring soft sedimentary rock matter is created from the fossilized remains of algae called diatoms.

Activated Charcoal

Take one capsules (or equivalent in powder form) at least 3 hours before or after eating (to avoid interfering with the absorption of nutrients in the food … (or medications).
This timing ensures that the charcoal does not bind to beneficial substances in the gut.

Activated Charcoal is one of the world’s most highly regarded detoxification substances.
This binder does not discriminate and will bind your food, hence the 3 hour rule above.

Follow label usage instructions.
One does require extra hydration with this binder.
We suggest every household should have activated charcoal on hand for acute issues like diarrhoea, food poisoning or if you are experiencing severe Herxheimer reactions from detoxing.
However, it’s not recommended as an everyday binder, but rather alternate with one or more of recommended binders.
